Prior to attending law school, Mr. Val Gurvits served for more than eleven years in the computer software industry, developing and marketing large-scale software applications for corporate clients. Mr. Gurvits has first-hand expertise in every aspect of operating a technology firm.
Mr. Gurvits is a graduate cum laude of the Boston University School of Law, where he received a concentration in Intellectual Property with honors. |

Mr. Gurvits was an associate in the Business Practice Group of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP in Boston, where he represented technology companies and venture funds. He is now a co-founding partner of the Boston Law Group, LLP. He has a general business practice assisting technology companies in a variety of legal issues, including start-up issues, contracts and agreements, licensing of technology, mergers and acquisitions, financings and intellectual property issues.
Mr. Gurvits currently serves as co-chair of the Computer and Internet Law Committee of the Boston Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Gurvits is an adjunct professor at the Boston University School of Law, where he teaches two courses: "E-Commerce Law" and "International IP."
Mr. Gurvits is admitted to the Massachusetts bar.
